The Perfect WordPress Theme – What is Perfect?
The definition of the word perfect varies from person to person. Thus implying that the definition of the perfect theme for a website varies from site to site, which will be the focus in this article. While one theme might be perfect for one site, it might be the opposite of perfect for a totally different website.
For the most part, whenever developing your site and picking out your theme, it is most important to focus on what theme would be perfect for the content that will be posted on your site. Find out whether the keywords that best describe your site pay good money with AdSense, using the Google Keyword Tool. If they do pay well, look for an AdSense optimized theme (a.k.a. MFA template). If the keywords don’t appear to pay well, then look for a more ad optimized theme. By ad optimized, I don’t mean AdSense, I mean advertising room you can sell to people.
Also, whenever picking a theme, try to pick something that is neat and organized. One of your biggest goals when picking out an using a theme is to make it easy to navigate and very understandable from the view point of anyone that comes to your site. Make sure they know where they can find everything on your site such as your site’s pages, categories, advertisements, etc.
And lastly, whenever picking a theme, try to pick one from a reliable source. The more reliable the better. What do I mean by reliable? I mean one that either someone referred you to, or you have possibly heard good things about. The reason for this is for the most part, a lot of the random sites you may find themes on, have errors in them, creating a lot of confusing PHP work that I know most of us don’t want to do.
Anyways, those are my tips to have you on your way to the perfect theme for your particular site. Remember that different, and sometimes even totally opposite themes are perfect for different types of sites.
