There is a pretty clear cut line between an addiction and a hobby. I began domaining fairly recently. It was a great hobby to have. In my free time, I could buy a domain, or I could sell a domain. And the great thing about this particular hobby was I could make some money doing it. But maybe my hobby is slowly turning into an addiction as I am continuing to spend more and more time on the computer everyday.

When I first started domaining, I went on the computer maybe a few hours a week. It was something that I would do during about 5% – 10% of my free time. And I really enjoyed doing it. I would go on the forums, make a $15 investment that turned into a $100 profit that next day when I would sell it. There was some really good money involved with it.

As time has gone on, I am spending just about all of my free time on the computer. Whether I am writing an article for one of my blogs, or just buying and selling a domain, it is what I am using my free time for. And I just can’t stop. There is always something to do. That’s the thing about it. You can never run out of things to do on the internet.

Anyways, I feel as though this is becoming a big addiction, that I need to break, and hopefully will at some point soon. I should be out and about, going out and doing things during some of my free time, and then domaining for the rest of it. But who knows, maybe the “addiction” is unbreakable.
