Domain Convergence Conference Holding Live Domain Auction
Domain Convergence, a well-known domain-industry conference, announced that they will be featuring a premium Live Auction at the conference this year for the first time in conference history. All submissions are in, due to the deadline that was set for yesterday, and we are still awaiting to see the catalog of domains to be auctioned this year at the conference.
This conference is scheduled to begin on Sunday at noon, tomorrow in Niagra Falls. But we still have another 3 days until the live domain auction, scheduled to begin on October 8 at 3:00 p.m. EDT. The live domain auction will take place for a single hour, but will extend into another 7 day internet, domain auction for all the domain names not sold at the live auction within the hour.
The chairman of Domain Convergence talked about the goals of the auction, and the reasons they would be doing it. He said, “Our aim is to put together a great conference for the Canadian and international domainer community, filled with valuable sessions and opportunities to network. The live auction is the icing on the cake.” My interpretation of what he means when he says the live auction is the icing on the cake is that it really tops of the domain conference. It makes it just that much better. Icing just makes the cake that much better.
Domain Convergence is planning on auctioning off 30-40 handpicked domains, that they think are good and have a reasonable price tag. The audience of the live auction will be a very exclusive group of domainers, but to allow the auction to accessible to all, the 7 day online auction following the 1 hour live auction is accessible to every domainer around the world. So be sure to check back for Domain Convergence domain auction updates and sales.
