According to California-based company Verisign, domain registrations have gone up 9% since last year. There are now over 184 million domain names registered. Not only are domain registrations up, but traffic on the internet is up 29% since the beginning of the year.

When I saw these numbers, I was pretty surprised. Being a domainer, the first question I asked myself when I saw there were over 184 million domains registered was how many of those names could actually be at least half-way decent names? Think about it. How many good letter-combos are out there?

The 29% increase in traffic throughout the internet made me optimistic though. The more people on the internet, the more potential customers there are. We all like customers
