DomainTips & SnapNames Auction Closing Soon

The DomainTips & SnapNames new year’s auction has been going on since the 5th of january, and is coming to an end soon, on Tuesday, January 12. There are truly some great, category-killer .com and .net names being auctioned. The thing that really caught my attention and made me want to publish an article about this is many of these domains are going at bargain prices, or don’t have bids and are still valuable domains.

There are about 100 names being auctioned. Here are my favorites:

Necklace.net; Current Bid: $9,645 (Reserve Met)

ArmChair.net; Current Bid: $7,240 (Reserve Met)

Casserole.net; Current Bid: $3,595 (Reserve Met)

ComputerChair.com; No Bids; Reserve: $5,001-$10,000

HydronicHeating.com; No Bids; Reserve: $5,001-$10,000

Epilator.net; No Bids; Reserve: $5,001-$10,000

EarringRack.com; No Bids; Reserve: $501-$1,000

As you can see, there’s quite a quality selection. I’m just shocked at the affordability of some of these names. There’s over 88 exact product match domain names. You can see the full list of domain names in auction by clicking here. I might be bidding on some towards the end of the auction, depending on how the auction progresses. Make sure to get your bids in.

  1. Andrei says:

Thanks for covering the auction Sam, I took a big risk by going with extremely low reserves (here’s just one example: necklace.net has been auctioned at the previous T.R.A.F.F.I.C. show with $50,000+ as the reserve and now the reserve has been met after a bid of only $9,645 and this for a domain which describes an expensive item with 368,000 exact match searches in the United States last month, need I say more?) but whatever happens happens and if I’ll end up practically giving away domains, so be it.

  2. Anytime Andrei. I’ll be really interested to see what happens with this. Necklace.net is a true gem, and that’s one that’s going way to low right now. But as with many auctions, a lot of people wait until the last minute to put in their bids. So I guess we’ll wait and see :)
